The Emergency Preparedness Guide/Toolkit for Individuals with Disabilities was developed through a partnership between the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). This guide describes actions and considerations that individuals with disabilities can use to increase preparedness before, during, and after disasters.

Cal OES and DOR encourage individuals to:
1) Get emergency alerts
2) Make an evacuation plan
3) Pack a Go Bag
4) Build a Stay Box for when you can’t leave
5) Help friends and neighbors get ready
