Don’t Forget to Help Spread the Word About National Disability Employment Awareness Month

This year’s theme is “Access to Good Jobs for All.” Unfortunately, since the pandemic, the trends for our employment numbers have continued to drop in California and across the nation. The US Department of Labor has developed some great tools for us to spread the word about NDEAM on social media platforms, press releases, and employers, and various media sources.

Also, the Department of Developmental Services’ Employment Workgroup has been hard at work on a variety of employment related initiatives. During their last meeting they reviewed data on employment outcomes, the Quality Incentive Program (QIP), Regional Center Performance Measures (RCPM) focused on employment and in particular the ongoing outcomes on Competitive and Integrated Employment (CIE) and Paid Internship Program (PIP).
