DDS: Understanding Your HCBS Rights

DDS is excited to announce an upcoming training opportunity, Understanding Your HCBS Rights, presented in partnership with Alo Consultation.  This webinar, geared towards individuals who receive services and their families, will explain the HCBS (home and community-based services) Requirements that took effect in March 2023. Spanish and ASL interpretation will be provided at the time of the webinar, and additional language interpretations can be arranged upon request.  The materials will also be translated and available to download.

This webinar will:

·      Teach about the principles behind the HCBS requirements (like accessing the community, choice in services and supports, the right to have visitors, and more…)

·      Let the audience hear from individuals about their experiences with the HCBS principles

·      Demonstrate how to talk with service providers or staff about the HCBS principles

The webinar will be offered on two different days/times, February 9th (3pm to 4:30pm) and February 10th (10am to 11:30am).  A recording of the webinar will also be posted on the DDS website.

Can’t make either of these times? The webinar will be recorded & posted on the DDS website:
