Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) Informational Trainings – San Diego Gas and Electric (SDGE)

The Investor Owned Utilities (IOUs) have reached out to the Department of Developmental Services with an offer to provide training to all regional centers and service providers/vendors. Southern California Edison (SCE), Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), and San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) will provide information about Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS).

To reduce the threat of wildfires, these utilities may temporarily shut off power to a neighborhood; the power shut off events are called PSPS. For these sessions, IOUs will discuss how Californians can better prepare for PSPS, including customer alerts, emergency preparedness and customer care programs and resources that can minimize impacts due to PSPS events. Please plan to attend one of the three sessions.

The training sessions will be an hour long and, to provide flexibility and encourage participation, the sessions will be recorded. Additionally, there will be a Q&A at the end of each session to help answer your questions and to provide the opportunity for the utilities to hear from you about how they can improve their outreach and services to our populations.
