Undivided: Medicaid and the Legislative Landscape

“What the Latest Medicaid Updates Could Mean for Your Family,” with Aaron Carruthers, Executive Director of the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities

Thursday, March 27, 2025, 12:00 p.m.–1:30 p.m. PT

Parents all across the country are having a hard time keeping up with and filtering through the noise of what cuts to public funding, changes in the Department of Education, and other legislative changes are being proposed.

Here to give us some clarity is Aaron Carruthers, Executive Director of the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities. Join us for an update on the legislative landscape and learn:
What changes are being proposed, and by whom, and when?
What happens if these changes go into effect (e.g. if Medicaid funding is cut, what does that mean for Regional Center services, or Medi-Cal)?
What can parents do if they want to help influence the scope or areas of cuts?
Aaron will provide a one-hour training on recent updates with Medicaid and how parents can tell their story to policy makers. After the training, parents can submit their questions for a 30-minute Q&A about what concerns are at the top of their mind.

Please RSVP to receive the link to the webinar and submit your questions in advance! If you can’t attend the event live, you can RSVP anyway to receive the replay in your email.

Held in partnership with California State Council on Developmental Disabilities, clubtwentyone, Autism Society of Los Angeles, Autism Society San Francisco Bay Area, AbilityPath National, CDAC (California Down Syndrome Alliance Coalition), Westside Regional Center and Westside Family Resource and Empowerment Center, you won’t want to miss it!
